I. LOVE. OVERCAST. WEATHER. I especially love it when I have a photoshoot because I don't have to worry about the time of the day, or squinty eyes because of sunny bright light, or harsh shadows on their faces, and I don't have to scout for shady areas.
BUT... on this day, the skies were dark, no signs of the sun, the rain was heavy and the weather forecast was not accurate on my phone app. Overcast weather? psssh! Nope. Torrential. Yes. It was an early morning session, and we all had to travel a bit to our location, so we couldn't just reschedule for the next day. So, I had to put my faith into practice and hoped for clear skies with some light.
And it did - just a few minutes later. Other than the wet road, you would have never known how gloomy this day begun.
This day will forever be one of my favorites as a photographer, not only because the weather and the lighting ended being on our side, but I got to meet one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Family came along to help, and we even ended the session with mimosas!
We used one of my clear umbrellas for this shoot!
Mom did such an amazing job coordinating their outfits.
Baby "C" brightened our day - for sure!
Look at this beautiful vintage truck! Just Stunning! Their mother's sweet neighbor let us borrow it for this photoshoot!
These images make my heart so joyful!
Such a beautiful family.
Thank you Dobbs family, for allowing me to do this and for your amazing hospitality. Thank you for braving the circumstances... we did it!
